As it was in last year, Mother’s Day celebration was organized by St. Mary’s MSO Youth Association of the St. Mary’s Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church, Vienna on Sunday, the 9th of May 2010 at St. Mary’s MSO Church, Vienna. After the prayer and introduction of Rev. Fr. Biju Parekkattil, President of the Youth Association, Mr. Soja Jose Chelapurathu, Vice President of the Youth Association, welcomed the audience and then Mr.Yacob Padickakudy gave a profound Mother’s day Message. He stated that Mother’s Day is the one day a year dedicated to honoring moms and all that they do and explained its origin and development in different parts of the world. Then Master Sam Padickakudy read a Mother’s day poem and youth Association members distributed candle holders with candle and greeting cards to the children to present it to their mother. This warmed the hearts the mothers as well as the children and provided others a memorable experience.
Mrs. Leelamma Poomkottayil thanked the Vicar, Inaugurator, the Youth Association and all those concerned for creating such a programme to honor Mothers and motherhood and wished the endeavor every success.
